Major U.S. airlines were hit with systemwide outages on Monday, according to Sabre, a company airlines use for printing tickets and making reservations.

"We are aware that there is an issue impacting some of customers. Our global operations and technical teams are actively working to resolve this. We apologize for any inconvenience," Sabre said in a statement.

On Twitter, Alaska Air said all airlines were impacted by the outage.

Customers flying WestJet, JetBlue and American also reported issues on the social media platform. The airlines did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.
