President Donald Trump is set to deliver remarks for a National Day of Prayer service in the White House's Rose Garden on Thursday.
First lady Melania Trump will also attend the service, according to the White House. She did not attend the prior year's service.
At that event, the president signed an executive memo designed to protect religious groups, which also established a White House Faith and Opportunity Initiative to serve as a liaison between the Trump administration and faith-based programs.
