Porn star Stormy Daniels hires new 'personal lawyer' to replace Michael Avenatti

Porn star Stormy Daniels said Tuesday that she had hired a new personal lawyer, Clark Brewster, and "asked him and his firm to review all legal matters involing me."

Brewster told CNBC he will be replacing Daniels' other lawyer, Michael Avenatti.

The move comes days after a federal judge dismissed Daniels' lawsuit against President Donald Trump and his own ex-personal lawyer Michael Cohen, seeking to void a non-disclosure agreement barring her from discussing an alleged affair she had with Trump more than a decade ago.

The judge tossed the case because Trump and Cohen had agreed not to enforce the deal, for which Daniels was paid $130,000 by Cohen on the eve of the 2016 presidential election.

"I made the decision to terminate the representation," Avenatti told CNBC when asked about Daniels.
